Title: Finished the 284 Win Striker
Post by: yorketransport on September 03, 2013, 08:23:38 PM
I've been piecing this together over the last month or so and it's finally done. I don't know when I'll get to shoot it, but it should be fun!

The barrel is an 18" McGowen bull barrel and the scope is a VX-3 LR 6.5-20x50 which was sent off to Premier Reticles who put the M1 turrets and a Mil Dot reticle in there. Got the barrel for $185 from the McGowen clearance section and traded my way into the scope. I figure I'm into the scope about $400. Including the cost of the original Striker ($450), I'm only into the gun $1000 after selling the factory barrel. Now to see how it shoots.
