I poked around in the WDFW section but couldn't find anything: I'm in the Navy and deployed....is it POSSIBLE to switch from modern to muzzle loader or archery due to operational commitments? Does WDFW have a sort of "awe, that sucks" clause for switching hunting methods? Curious if anyone has done it or knows anything about it. I DID apply for special hunts, all on the wet side and intend to hunt the wet side if I'm able to swap out. Thoughts?
Thanks!

since you applied for special tags I think the policy is a firm no. If you hadn't applied, you could have switched to muzzy if done before the first muzzy season opens. Archery would be too late as the season is already underway.

Like Jimmy said, if you hadn't applied for special permits you could have exchanged for a muzzleloader tag.
You could still call and ask but as far as I know, it can't be done.

Thanks for the insight, guys. Will try to call when I get a chance to see what they say.
Thanks again.

Seems like I read that military operations were one of the very few allowable reasons for swapping a tag though I have no idea if a special permitted hunt effects that or not.
