Post by: spin05 on September 09, 2013, 07:06:24 AM
heading out to elk hunt tommorrow by Mt Adams for elk. In the GP forest the way i read it is. You only need the pass at the trail heads they have listed as needing it. Is this true?????Kinda confusing

Yup that's right. Nothing confusing about it. Only need it where it says it is needed.

Forest Passes through Washington generally needed only for improved areas ,like trail heads, camp grounds, and such. If there is a pota pot or toilet around pass will be required most the time.

You can drive roads or camp remote areas in. Most cases without the pass.
