Any of you folks use hang on tree stands?
If so what type of ladder system do you use?
Advantages, disadvantages of the different Types?

I bought a pair of lone wolf climbing sticks. 4 sticks that I believe are 32" each. They are light weight, stack together for easy transport, quiet to put up and simple to use. They cost about 150 for the set.

these are great, I have a couple sets. also I will use screw in spike steps depending where I am and the tree or a combo of the 2.
cant beat the price tho.
the straps they come with suck but its cheap to replace them before hanging.

Most of my trees are spiked...I use the ladder sticks if they are closer to the rig spots. The lone wolf ones are nice and my next purchase..I have the above mentioned ones

:yeah:
These are the ones I have and together with the tree stand that I bought I think im only into it all for 80 bucks. You cant beat them for the price. I dont get the feeling like the pegs are going to break while climbing so thats good.
The only downfall I would say is they dont stack well like the lone wolf sticks but thats not worth the $120 price difference to me atleast.

Same style I have for my treestand, Ive set them up a few times and like em. The ones with the X shaped male piece's feel alittle stronger.

Ya definitely if I am going very far I go to screw ins... those sportsmans guide ones are loud akward amd clunky to pack very far.

The sportsmans guide ladder work fine for me on 2 different stands and 1 was well over a mile. There might be lighter setups out there but for the price I don't think you can go wrong. Just my :twocents:
