Hey guys, just wondering has anybody parked up by the ski area at snoqualmie and walked on the trails into the national forest for deer? Just wondering if I need any special permit to hunt in the national forest.

You do not need a special permit to hunt the forest. You should plan on encountering plenty of hikers.

Yeah I was planning on looking for a good spot off the trail where I can see out a bit and just sit and wait to see if anything comes out.
-
And make sure you know which side of the PCT you're on. If you shoot a two point BT hopefully it won't cross that imaginary line and become an illegal muley!

You will know if a USFS Forest Pass is needed as there will be signs at the trailhead. But I can only think of the PCT TH in that area where you would need a pass.

I've seen lots of deer prints up near the Mt Catherine hike.

Can you hunt Mt. Catherine right now? Like is that part of the high buck hunt?
