 Yes that is ...I used them heads when I was a kid ...have not seen the newer ones yet ....I like the fact they have a chiseled tip ...bet they will work just fine
-
That's a heck of an accomplishment right their now  if you can sneak up on a RUFFED GROUSE you can sneak up on anything ...90% of the time ruffed grouse will not stick around long enough for a shot with a bow ...good job :kneel:

The new tips are stronger, Titanium I believe.

If he hits on target, those Savora's will kill. My last 2 deer were killed with those same broadheads.

Thank's guys! There was quite a few more out there but like I said I wasn't fast enough for those, and one that left its self exposed was on a branch I could of shot but It would have been a for sure arrow loss and hard recovery because it was on a downward sloping hill with thick brush. Was surprised that one I shot even went anywhere, I hit low and it ripped through the stomach area and It still flew off about 15 yards with its legs hanging. Thought I might have broke some legs but they looked fine when I cleaned it.
Do you guys usually meat out the legs to? Or just the breast?

Just the breast

Yeah that's what I did, same technique. I just noticed the legs had alittle meat on them, I tossed it anyways.

Nice shot!

Nice shot!
Those Judo's work great, Complete pass-through and the arrow layed right on the ground on the other side of him. Put that one I gave you to work!

Too bad you have to leave a feathered head attached or I would do this in the field.

Not true with grouse. Its kind of hard to leave the head on when shot with a high powered rifle.
Hey Smossy try this on your grouse.
Debone the breast
wrap in bacon
Make up some stove top stuffing ( we like corn bread) Cook until JUST about done.
Put a layer of stuffing in brownie pan
place grouse breast on stuffing
Cover breast with the rest of the stuffing
bake at 350 until done
