:bash:I really have to hand it to you guys that were successful during early bow season, getting a bull with a bow is a great accomplishment.I guess I came as close as you can but didn't have a clean shot, but it was very exciting,I ran into elk 3 times that morning, and can easily say it was the most exciting morning I think I've ever had.I'm very curios if guys break down the distance after calling as they approach , or do you stay in place, all 3 times they came I'm close then stop keeping things between us at all times.OH YA !Any tips on rimrock during late bow is greatly appreciated, like road access , I'm thinking they will be low by then ?

I don't believe Rimrock is open for late season. It didn't used to be anyway. Maybe that changed this year?

Oh, you're right! I looked, too, even in the 2010 regs. And it was open back then too. So, not sure why I was thinking it was not. But even so, I would recommend hunting Cowiche for late season instead of Rimrock. A portion of the Cowiche is not open, so just keep that in mind. You'll need to read up on the boundary description for the portion of the unit that is open.
