In the back yard.
-
Actually, it's a no brainer for the amount of meat, but I wonder if I should take the skinny one out before he dies this winter anyways. He does not look good. The second one, on the other hand, has at least 50 pounds of meat on him from past experience. My daughter wants to try to shoot a buck this year with the ML, he might be a backup if we can't find another one outside of the yard.
-
Definitely a no brainer..
Weird how one is so skinny and the other is fat
-
The one is definitely a younger animal, but he is so skinny it looks like there is something wrong with him. :dunno:

Isnt that food right infront of his face?
I guess just stick him and use those nice straight horns for a knife handle or toilet paper roll holder.
-
i dont think i would eat him he looks sick, or full of worms.
-
Night and day difference....poor little fella.......need to throw a few more apples over the fence for him.
-
im thinking either tooth problems or parasites. Plenty of feed right now. :twocents:

Or chronic wasting disease...
I'd be picking the fat one!

There's no CWD in WA that I am aware of.
Could be worms, he seems to be able to eat the apples just fine, so I don't think he has tooth problems.
-
Put out some ivomec on the apples? :chuckle:

Yeah, no CWD in Washington... Unless he's the first case :chuckle:
-
It'll be fine, shoot the fat one that keeps eating all the good grub and pushing little skinny dear around. Next year he will be the fat buck.
-
I would shoot the fat one, he keeps stealing the skinny ones food. :chuckle:
-
The fat one. But then again if this year's elk hunt is any indicator, I'd probably miss! :bash:

You might be on to something.... :chuckle:
-
I'd shoot the big one and put some extra food (or medicine) out for the skinny one.

That is some funny stuff right there.
Shoot whichever one gives you the best shot, and then shoot again if you are Pman.
-
Ouch! That one'll leave a mark, Rainier!
-
The little dude was already for the dunnier table. Complete with the apple in his mouth.

Shoot the fat one and let the little one have more food. I have seen this before with domestic animals......the fat ones will guard their food like fort knox guards gold. :chuckle: Kill the fat one and see if my theory is correct.
-
go to the feed store and get some deworming medicine and put it in an apple, maybe he just has worms :dunno: the bigger 2pt is gonna be a fat one thats for sure, he probably beats up on the little dude and thats why he cant put on weight :chuckle: he is always runnin from the bully :chuckle:

Sorry man, it was low hanging fruit, easy pickens. I am sure you will do better in the late season.
-

Both. It is the fair thing to do.
Get two shooters and knock them both down. Thank the good lord for blessing you with two deer.

i agree get a buddy (me) lol to take the small one... he will die when winter hits....
The big one is basically punking him for all the food.... take both... get you tag filled and enjoy the meat
