Title: I dont understand?
Post by: seth30 on September 30, 2013, 06:44:39 PM
Looking through my photos this year I came across a doe mounting a doe.  Do deer do this as a dominance thing like dogs?

Are you sure it's 2 does?  Not a small spike or button head?

I used to have pics of a 3 pt buck that was following around a 2 pt buck and tried to mount him at least 5 or 6 times. Wish I could find them. Maybe they came from the Capitol  Hill (Seattle) or the downtown Olympia herd. :dunno: :chuckle:

Sometimes Hens will get that way when a rooster isn't around.

After I thought about it.  When I used to raise Meat Rabbits the Does would do that every once in a while.  Probably a dominance thing?

Agreed. We keep our young rabbit does in the same hutch til about 4.5 months old. There is always one that mounts the others.
