Title: Last pictures of an Eastern WA Giant
Post by: alwinearcher on October 18, 2013, 12:01:31 PM: I posted a couple pictures in the elk hunting forum, but had to post these ones in the trail cam section.

I have been after this bull for 3 seasons and finely shot him with my muzzle loader on Oct 8th.
It was very bitter sweet knowing I would never get trail cam pictures of him ever again.
So when I went to pull a camera on Oct 10th I was VERY happy to see one last set of pictures of him. :tup:

I still cant get over how his body makes his antlers look so much smaller, he was a GIANT bodied elk!

I think in places he has lost length, but he has also gained mass..
I believe last year would of been his highest scoring year :twocents:

What do you think?

Post by: jbeaumont21 on October 18, 2013, 04:26:08 PM: Judging by the way he crowns off at the top and his large body size would you say he has some Roosevelt genes in him? I'm told that most of the elk on the east side are Rocky Mountain or at least a crossbreed.

The first time I saw him on the hoof I was in shock...
I bet his live body weight was double the MT bull I killed earlier this year.
