I posted in the deer hunting section asking archers to petition the commision via email, commission@dfw.wa.gov, to move the late archery blacktail season up to November 1st to encompass the rut. If you guys could find the time to do this now is the time prior to the next season setting cycle. There were some discussions around when to hold the late season modern firearm hunt (my response around christmas vacation) and also when to hold the general modern elk season (my response coincide with modern gen deer). I'm not trying to get a huge debate going over exact dates just asking anyone who is willing to send an email to do so. As many of you are well aware other states generally set aside the rut periods for archery. Wouldn't it be nice?

Yea great add another 20000 hunters out there while the rifle guys are putting the hurt on the elk. Anything else you want?

I have killed plenty of BT's during the 2nd rut with my bow! Or you can buy a rifle tag and hunt rifle season with your bow as well.
