Bill Gates backing gun control measure
KPLU reported today that Microsoft founder Bill Gates and his wife, Melinda recently contributed $25,000 apiece to the Initiative 594 campaign, joining a growing list of wealthy Seattle-area supporters of the 15-page gun control measure, as confirmed by Public Disclosure Commission documents obtained yesterday by Examiner and The GunMag.com.

Wealthy donors invited to I-594 fund raiser tonight
Backers of a 15-page gun control initiative are throwing a little get-together tonight at a private home in Medina, Examiner has learned, and they’re seeking donations that could range upward to several thousand dollars according to the invitation, which local gun rights advocate Alan Gottlieb with the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms signals a desire “to buy your gun rights.”

Initiative battle heats as anti-gunners plan Thursday Bellevue program
Protect Our Gun Rights (POGR), the group pushing Initiative 591, last night issued a fund raising appeal in reaction to Monday evening’s “swanky fundraiser in Medina” for elitist backers of Initiative 594, while gun control backers announced a gathering Thursday evening at a Bellevue library designed to gin up support for the 15-page gun control measure.
