Title: Squeaky boots
Post by: fishunt on October 21, 2013, 08:32:38 PM
I have a pair of boots I love, but after a few miles of walking, my right one starts squeaking. I grease them and tried wearing different kinds of socks with no luck at all. Anyone else have this problem and found a solution?  Thanks

Years ago I had the same problem and what worked for me was to get them warmed up in the oven about 100 degrees and then I flooded all seams with the spray silicone water proofing. Let them dry for a couple of days and the noise was gone. You're results may vary. lol

I have the same problem but I also have a fake foot. The only time it bothers me is when out in the woods and trying to be quiet. I don't even notice the rest of the time.
