Title: AR trigger question?
Post by: jrebel on October 25, 2013, 01:27:42 PM
I am in the market for an adjustable AR trigger.  Currently I have a single stage trigger that works great but is just too stiff for my liking.  Any recommendations would be great.

Thanks

Johnny

I  went with the Geissele Super Semi- Automatic (SSA) trigger.  They have them in stock on their website.  Great to deal with.

How do you like it.  Does it have a clean / crisp break with little to no creep?

FWIW I took my mil-spec trigger apart and polished up the contact surfaces then added some JP springs to lighten the trigger pull. Works well for me.

I like it. No creep/ and a clean crisp break.  Its a 2-stage trigger.

So I am a little confused.....I was under the impression that most 2 stage triggers have some sort of slack before the break.  Described to me like a glock trigger....as apposed to a single stage trigger which was described more like a kimber.....trigger (very little slack and a crisp break).  I don't want a lot of slop (if any) in my trigger.  I want a fairly light trigger with a very clean crisp break.  I want it for accuracy as this gun will not be used much for self defense / combat....it is my coyote gun.

Pardon me if my lingo is not on par....I am learning this whole AR thing.

It is kinda a free slack to get to the break. You take up the slack then the break is much cleaner then a single stage trigger and often a lot lighter. I will only use a 2 stage trigger on my hunting ar-15's.
