I've always been a shooter, hunter and collector of firearms but I've never shot nor owned a muzzleloader. Finally took the plunge. CVA Optima V2. Couldn't pass on the price. $199.00. The cheapest I've seen it advertised elsewhere is over $250.

So ... being that this is my first muzzle loader, I can use advice on propellents and bullets. And anything else that you seasoned and wise gents think. I think I'll just be plinking with it for now.

Do they have any more at $199?????

If it was legal for big game hunting in Washington during muzzy season I would have bought 1 or 2 by now. I love hunting with a handgun but with 209's no such luck :'(

He could use it during modern. Might be kind of fun. BlueGrouse makes/made an underhammer pistol that would be legal during ML season.

For sure. I have been day dreaming about a nice muzzle loading handgun for awhile and keep going back and fourth. Most of the time I just pack my bow now days. So I am not sure if I would even use the dang thing.
