should get in around 6:30 to base camp, unload, finish setting up base camp (wall tent up and waiting), then pack the gear and make sandwiches, and finalize the plan for friday scouting and opening morning. Can't Wait. Gonna reach high and deep in the woods, don't want to see any other orange on saturday morning.

The best part about hunting is the anticipation and the planning. Good luck.

a little new to this particular area this year, picked our spot to head for spike camp day before opening. got to the creek crossing to make the other trail leading to ridge line and the creek was not passable :bash: Who would have known, well another buddy I know who has hunted this area for year must have known cuz I find out later he drove around (2 hours) and went into the same basic spot from the other side and bagged his bull crack of dawn opening morning. Well at least I had planned and picked a good spot out right?
. :yeah:

Don't give up if u stick it out until the last day u will have the place to yourself. Lots of bulls have been taken when most go home good luck.

don't you know it!!! we almost alway stick through the end unless work or other obligations makes it impossible, I never give up until the camp is packed in the truck and I'm on my way home.
