I know you can adjust the triggers on the browning xbolt but should a gunsmith do it or is it pretty basic that can be done if a guy has a little mechanical ability? 300win mag if it matters. Tks nwhunter

Should not be much of a problem. Just do the slam the bolt test as hard as you can. and the other tests like safe on pull trigger safe off and see if it still holds. Do search online there should be tubes of how why what where on the X-bolt.
Worst case a smith has to undo what you did, or keep track of where the screws are now and set it back.
