Post by: Turner89 on November 02, 2013, 05:26:15 PM: First time in a while I have not been able to get a buck in my area.(448) I was in the right spot, just never at the right time.
I don't have a late buck in my area, and have no desire to hunt 407, so I'm thinking hitting GMU 621. Friend has a cabin I may be able to stay in on the canal.
Anyone tell me about the area? Are there gates on the logging roads? That's what I'm used too, and would prefer it. I use mountain bike to get around. I appreciate any info on the area, thanks.

Post by: runamuk on November 02, 2013, 05:55:42 PM: yep big big unit...I used to hunt the bottom end that borders the skok unit lots of walk in bike in closed gates on that end....also lots of areas off the 24 road I think it is but many of those are not gated...my maps are all packed away in the basement since I am east side now....

Thanks 3nails, I may do that. The part of 407 I'm familiar with is mostly private.
Yea, it was a strange season for me. I had alot of fog issues, wich I normally can battle through, or just go higher, or lower, but not this time. Mostly It was timing I think.
