They still make some good boots in the USA plant.  But now I think Danner/Lacrosse is owned by a Japanese parent company, and many boots are made in China.

But the Portland factory is still busy and makes good boots so check the labels.

The East Ridge are put together in Portland.  They get the materials from Vietnam or China.  The East Ridge are re-craftable. You can send or take them to Danner in Portland to have new soles put on them and have them cleaned and fixed up new again.

I was down at the factory store weekend before last and they have some special walk in only deals there.  If you have size 9 or larger feet you can get the Danner Roseberg or Salem boots at the Factory Store.  They are made in Portland and are better boots than the East Ridge in my opinion for the same price.

All of the re-craftable made in the USA Danner boots are a little heavy compared to other boots you may be used to.
