I was reading this story and thought maybe everyone else on here would like to read the story and possibly could help in the investigation.

Prayers to the man's family, how sad.

Wow, sickening. How does something like this happen?

I'll bet that the anti's are pointing their fingers at us hunters.
-
You accidently shoot someone. Do you look though your bino's and say Ops and move off? What the heck?
-
There is no way this should happen....But it is sad to say there are too many ignorent hunters out there that feel the scope is a acceptible way to glass an area or check for horns....Not saying this is how this happened, but scary stuff, and the growing idiot factor is what got me and my father to hang our rifles up for Black Powder almost 10 years ago.
-
It was probably a classic case of "no, it's my elk" that got out of hand.
-
Yea, didn't think of that, that is a possibility. I had one of those 3 years ago....Just have to walk away, really not worth it.
-
this is always bad news.I pray for the family and hope it gets settled soon.there seems to be more and more people out in the woods with little respect for others, and the enviroment, common sense all but gone.Another sad day
-
I hope everything works out.

Check out this. It sounds like there is more to the story. Look at the comments at the end. It looks like the investigators are looking at the posts for clues. If anyone was up around there, I think you should do you're best to help them find out who's responsible.

Man this is a crazy year. sad story and really devastating to all sportsmen in the state. i hope they get to the bottom of this one. I really feel for the family...

That is really weird that if the guy was hunting he had no ID!!!! Did someone take his wallet? He should have had his hunting license and elk tag if nothing else! Did he have a truck he was driving? Drug dealer made to look like a hunter?
I have hunted this area many times during archery season and there are all kinds of brushpickers around that area, we find all their trash and bags of rubberbands and boots and clothes, it just chaps my hide! >:(
Definately something fishy going on!
I would think by now a family member would have got wind of this! I feel for them, hope the guy had no kids!

I do not think the guy was hunting. From what I read in the paper it seems that someone took him out there purposely. There was no mention of him wearing orange or camo stuff and his wallet is missing? I feel for the family, I hope the investigators finds the person (s) responsible quickly.
