I've had my primos truth cam for less than a year and while it takes great daytime pics almost all my night pics are completely black.... Any ideas?

Mine is the opposite. It works good at night with the infrared flash, but during the day, half the pictures are too dark. However it works fine if it's out in the open, like in a clearcut.
With yours, I would call Primos. It should be covered under warranty if it's less than a year old. Sounds like your flash is not working.
