Anyone else finding people living under bridges while trapping? Setting some cage traps under a bridge and I see a tarp and sleeping bag tucked up high under a bridge. Kinda spooky, was thinking of checking traps early but I really dont want to find anyone sleeping. Can't be a fun place to sleep, so anyone else find interesting things under bridges?

I see that a lot in the Seattle area, that and graffiti left by the pot smokers indicates your traps may get messed with. Yeah, the possibly desperate people living under bridges creep me out too; good thing trappers usually carry pistols.

Never found anyone living uder a bridge but I found a brand new tire and wheel 12 ply that went right on a trailer I had that needed a tire.
I think there was a wreck and the spare went flying.

Haha very nice Bruce. I'm always keeping a look out when cruising down the road for good take home I dodged traffic for a nice new chain binder once, and the laughs at me every time I pull over for a bungee cord. As far as people under the bridge yes we've had a scary lookin couple living under one of our bridges for months and there was somebody else before them.

I never saw the guy but there was a guy living under the Humptulips R bridge a couple years ago. He murdered the elderly couple who lived close to the bridge.
I guess it's nothing to joke about so be careful out there.

From what I've heard from others seems once it gets cold they tend to head for the rescue missions. More of a warm weather home. I won't be going under any bridges w/o my pistol. Don't think he's living there right now just stored his stuff until spring.

Bob,,,,,Don't you have an extra room, now a days?..
-
Yes Dave, but the wife is very particular who we have as house guests.
-
:dunno: maybe you could work out a deal with them, they don't mess with your setup and you give them the meat? :chuckle:
-
LOL,,,,,,I was talking about with you in the trapping trailer........
-
Sorry Dave, not enough room for me let alone a guest!

There's people living under bridges around the oly pen, mostly the bridges near a town. The older ones are usually cool to talk to and not really a drain on society. One I run into while fishing is a Vietnam vet that didn't get back into society. The younger ones tend to be druggies that the cops usually go visit when there's a string of burglaries.
