Title: Christmas tree permits cutting around Wenatchee

I am just wondering who else around the wenatchee area gets the tree permit and treks out into the woods to get their tree each year. Last year was a first and we just picked up our permit today. Does anyone have any pointers on a good area that is not too far off the beaten path as I still have a 3 year that cannot trek too far.

In my opinion it is the only way to go.....even though we usually end up with a Charlie Brown Christmas Tree. Our kids love the experience. We usually take a thermos of hot cocoa and bundle them up in their winter garb. We always take a sled so I can drag the kids to the tree and the tree back to the truck....seems to work out well.

As far as places to go...it all depends on the snow. We are usually somewhere up the Entiat River Road (make sure to read the rules though so you don't get in trouble.
