Brute word of advice. I would watermark your photos. I do all mine now after seeing a few show up posted by other people claiming to be theirs.

From bucks to bears. I know how I felt, so just wanted to save another good member from losing out on there beautiful pic's.

Post by: carpsniperg2 on November 13, 2013, 09:46:13 PM: Just make a water mark. Can be anything you like. Then open the picture in say paint and copy and paste your watermark into the picture. There is some great programs that will do a nice job like you see on here. The paint method is easy and free.

I want my watermark to be a pain in the ass to crop out, or clone out of the photo. Also, I try and degrade the quality of everything I post online to the point it will not print or blow up very well. I reduce the pixels to somewhere between 72-100.

IF someone wants your photo bad enough, they will take it and use it. Not much you can do unless you catch them doing it, and send a cease and desist order. Any photo YOU take is protected by copyright laws, so do not let someone steal your property.

Brute your watermarks are def better in the last few. It is always a tough balance between protecting your work and not being distracting.

There is a program out there called GIMP that is a free to use graphics program. It runs a bit like photoshop in multiple layers etc. a touch of a learning curve if you are not graphic software savy, but there are lots of youtube vids. That is what I use to watermark now as it lets you really subtly lay it in over the picture content without being tooo distracting.

Just use Lightroom 6 now. Can do anything that I want to do to a photo with it.
Before use to use 2 different programs for different elements.
