I guess its legal... but dang I wouldn't shoot that thing for nothing... hardly any meat to speak of, and you sure aint gonna put the horns on the wall... :twocents: Congrats to him though! I hope he's hooked on hunting!

It looks bad from the angle but she is at least two feet in front of him and the gun is angled forward. And the gun is definately not loaded!

I know that his deer is very small. We thought it was bigger because it was next to a fence and was as tall as it. The fence was not as tall as we thought it was. He is definately hooked on hunting though.

You had better wipe the milk off that ones mouth. :chuckle:
-
nice deer, but I also cant believe he would shoot one that small.. that thing weighed all of what....... 85lbs live? but I must admit when I was younger I shot one about that size on a ridge....... talk about ground shrinkage!!!! I swore it was a full size deer as well, sometimes in the right cover etc.... they appear much larger
-
looks like another group of young hunters hooked on the outdoors. good stuff, congrats to them.
-
Who cares how big it is as long as its legal. Taking a few small deer isn't going to hurt anything. Good work. I'm sure its going to be nice an tender :cue:
-
my first deer was a little button buck about the same size as that one, best tasting deer I ever had.
-
Mmmmm, veal.
-
Looks like LTL has some competition for the name suckling slayer... :chuckle:
-
He's happy, it's legal, I fail to see anything to criticize. I'm glad to see another happy young hunter.
-
I am glad the new/young hunters were successful, but I have to question the "button buck".
I am not sure if he had an antlerless tag or not, but I don't see any antlers "above the hair" even blown up to 400%.
Directly from the 2008 regs.
Any Buck: Any deer with visible antlers may be taken (fawns illegal).
Antlerless: Deer without antlers. Doe or fawn deer are antlerless.
