For those who hunt the Boistfort valley you better break in your new boots, ALL Gates are closed for good. 600, 700, 1000, Etc. both sides of the valley. They did leave a few open if you want to hunt where elk don't exist.
(Must have been for tax purposes) walk in only except for employees.
Don't count on queerhouser either " LEASE LAND HUNT BY WRITTEN PERMITION ONLY"
:bash: I do enjoy the walk in but what about the "old guys and the youngsters" :bash:

Your statement "walk in only except for employees" is incorrect. The logging crews are the only ones driving in those areas. SPI employees do not get any different access than anybody else.

any special reason for gate closures? I never witnessed any problems in the last 20 plus years other than the modern boys not putting out there fires when told to. after that they shut down camping and atv riding.
I read about stress and hoof rot. I guess I would agree. Loggers must not stress them out as much.

When I asked our timberlands manager about it, he told me it was mostly to control traffic in active logging areas.
