Title: A couple blacktails........
Post by: 257 Wby Mag on November 05, 2008, 12:31:24 PM: Well, after the *censored*tiest year I can remember, the wife and I scored on a couple decent bucks. Mine is a fork that I smoked with my beloved 257 last thursday. What a tough year... Enjoy.

Yes, local. Mine was killed on thursday. Pard and I were sitting on a landing glassing for a couple hours. I looked over at him to say something, this buck was walking behind him about 20 yards away!! He looked over at us, then continued to scent trail a doe. So I shhwwaaaacked him.

The old lady's buck we killed walking down a thinned reprod rd, caught him following a doe, on Friday. Littlest buck I've killed in years, but good enough on a bad year!! Gonna be over in Montana in late buck. Later
