Bank fishing the Grand Ronde tomorrow. Amy tips, insights or good locations? Any help would be great.

YOu will have fun... It is a great river for steelhead. I go every year with my son who is attending WSU.

How did it go? Frozen?
-
Yeah, early morning slush chunks and completely frozen in other areas, them it burned off. No fish, will be back though!

If you look around there are places that still produce when its frozen. Think 2-4 feet of ice free and slow moving water. It still isn't much fun to catch a frozen steelhead. I've caught them there that were so lethargic that they didn't fight at all.

Was up at Troy this past weekend and there was quite a bit of ice. It was breaking up, definitely fishable, but unfortunately I wasn't there to fish. :'(
