I haven't bought a camera in 15 years - some of these features and stuff is greek to me :dunno:

Pretty solid Nikon at 600.00 I'd probably get it. I have older Nikon glass and spent more than that for my D80 body when it came out. If you haven't had a new camera in 15 years you'll be happy with the upgrade.
I'll leave those that run Canon to tell you why I'm wrong but for me it was a "i have a bunch of old nikon glass" so I didn't consider a Canon.

That sure looks like a great price to me! But then I don't know much about Nikon equipment because I use Canon gear.
The specs on the camera look pretty darned good, the lenses should fit just about any application you will need unless you want to shoot a photo of an animal from a long distance. (you can always buy an extender or a longer telephoto lens later).
An extra card and an extra battery would be a couple of good things to have on hand.
I say "GO For it!" You won't be sorry for purchasing a Nikon camera! They are superb pieces of camera gear made by a well known and respected company!
