Crap is all I can say..........
-
He's a nice one, good luck
-
That's a real nice buck and bucks like that will stay in very thick cover until dark. Do your homework on where he probably is bedding and moving during the day, and that means really thick cover away from the roads. As does come into estrus those bucks will tend to move more and more during the day in that cover and sometimes in the middle of the day. I would sit a good scrape this buck is making as much as possible because that buck will be checking them. Hopefully he will do it during legal hunting hours. Good luck
-
If possible, you may try back trailing him. If he is a regular, you might just be able to pattern his feed and bed area.
Good luck.

Tinks 69 :dunno: :tung:

He's coming from across the road from the, nonhunters house........... Catching him is the key. I think the weather and good feed will be his demise, fingers crossed.
-
thats a nice deer.good luck
hopefully this cold weather coming up will push him out during the day
-
I've seen him once, during the day 3 weeks ago, with our first snow chasing the girls....
This is his competitor.

Would it be worth the drive ? I've already given it away, but, I'll be taking bids.......

I bet he starts showing himself in the daylight by the time season closes

I see some big boys after the season all the time. Especially since I feed them throughout the winter.

What do you feed them?
I really want to hunt WA whitetails in the 2015 season and want to use feed to bring them in. Any tips on what they like and what works for you?

I strictly feed them, whole corn, wet cob and a deer block called I think, Deer Acres. ( not sure ) I could find out if you want, but not till next week.

If youre settin up in a tree or ground blind for that guy, my guess is hes bedding not far off where he can see/hear you enter and exit.........seen it more than once.
Best chance at a buck like that is the first or second time in your stand....after that, they just seem to know.
-
Dang Campmeat I think he was wandering around in my Front pasture this morning at 7:15.

I have a ground blind 3 yards from the feed. It's been there from day 1. I also use my side x side to feed them. I make a lot of noise, talking out loud et, so they know it's feeding time. I've had over 2000 pictures of the same does and 5 bucks coming in, but he's the pig of them all.
This is his competitor with a different view.

my property is on pontiac ridge just above the lakes :) Good luck with your hunt you got a couple more weeks to get it done

Maybe you guys should go in and buy the country store in Curlew. She's been trying to sell that for a few years since Don passed 5 years ago. She's having a helluva time making ends meet. She's too trusting of the locals that steal from her.....
I guess we should have a Curlew Mens Club then ?

been there and done that and the reason he does not show is he don't want to get shot, bottom line. good luck , hope he makes a mistake and you cash in. mike w

I got the big one on my trail camera yesterday at 1: 36pm. I fed them today at 12:30 pm, went back to the house to get my bow, took a couple kill shots at my Block. Went down to my blind and that small rat bastage competitor was there eating. I know where here's coming from now............

Sounds like you need to start sitting out there all day. I am hoping the freezing temps over here on the West Side in Oregon are going to get a couple of the shooters I have on cam out and feeding early.
-
This is only the 4-5th time I've seen either buck during the day in 2 months. They only come in at night except for those few times. He'll mess up. I'll be sitting there tomorrow sleeping and he'll show up, I know it........
-
I have been waiting for the cold weather to get the boys out a little earlier. I am in the same boat. Almost all my pics have been nocturnal. Temps in the 20's this week, I will be in the blind everyday. Best of luck.
-
Hope ya connect, It's a great looking animal.
-
I still haven't seen him for at least a month. I'm a day late and a dollar short even on his buddy. But, there are 4-5 other bucks coming to the feed.....
