Title: Is my trail cam broken
Post by: raydog on December 01, 2013, 11:57:33 AM
I have a primos truth cam 35. one day I went to check it and the little screen was flashing -50-. I don't know why. I took it home put new batteries in it and tried different sd cards and cleared the old one. It still flashes-50-. If you leave it on long enough it will stop flashing, it will make the noise it makes when it takes a picture but never saves the picture. I bought the camera from a friend so I don't have a owners manual. Is it a broken or what? Anybody have these issues.

I wish someone here could fix these things. I have a cabinet full of them that just quit working.

No problems yet with my 35 and I've had it for a couple years. I have it out in the woods about 8 months out of 12.

I've read that one thing to try is to take out the batteries and then leave it turned on for a couple days. This will drain the internal battery and somehow reset it. Put in new batteries and an SD card and try it again.

This may work or not but it's worth a try. I really do like the truth cam 35, it's a good camera for the price.

Awesome! Glad to hear it. Trail cameras can be really sensitive, uncooperative, unpredictable, and finicky sometimes. Kinda like women.   :)

A couple of things that could have caused the issue- you turned the power off while it was taking pictures. Or, pulled the sd card out while it was taking pictures.
