Title: McNary
Post by: HoofsandWings on December 02, 2013, 09:19:41 PM
It will be iced over this week with the cold.
One note. The water level is going to drop in the next week or two. Probably a foot of more.
Geese have not started to use the fields yet.

What those mcnary guys really need to do is get some winter wheat or something worth a dang planted down in the fields on the peninsula unit so people would actually want to use the Pitts there. I've heard so many story's about it use to being winter wheat down there and how the geese and widgeon would pile in hard. Mowing and burning isn't going to attract the birds. Another thing they need to do is replant the millet ponds. There's no millet left down there. It's just flooded weeds.
