I am currently using a 3x9 center point on .17 marlin hmr. very happy with it. accurate and didn't cost that much. looking for a little more reach. has anyone used the center point 4x16x40? if so whats the opinion.
thanks for input in advance

I had the cp4-16x44 on my marlin 917vs in 17hmr. It worked great! With my gun zeroed at 75yards most of the bdc's lined up for me in my gun with 20gr xtp's
killed squirrels out to 300 with that setup. Man I miss that rifle!

Got two of them on. 22 rifles. Shot out to 160 yards with both. Sited at 50 yards they both were bottom of 3rd dot to hit the 1" circle. One was definitely clearer at that range other was a little hazy but have had them for couple years on the 22 's and been happy. Originally had them on a 7 mag and a 270. Bought better scopes for them so put them on my rat rifles

I just put one on my Savage .17, Perfect.I took it out after bore siting,8 left,4 up,dead on at about 75 yds.I have heard a lot of people say they are junk.I had no problems, but there is zero recoil.
