Ive been thinking about doing the high hunt in they Pasayten. From what i have gathered from research, it sounds tough but thats what I want. I am willing to go in as far as possible. I will have time to make a couple scouting trips this summer and I am already getting excited about it. Another challenge, something different than usual and I am looking to get started on gear and training my legs even harder now. Is there any other information, suggestions, tips, things to keep in mind, or honey holes  :chuckle: that anyone is willing to share? Im eager to learn and am willing to put in the work, but id love any information/pics that people are willing to offer! Thanks in advance guys!

I'd go in further than most people who hike into the wilderness and back out every day, which is probably about 2 to 3 miles. But don't go in further than say, 10 to 15 miles, because that's where all the drop camps will be. At least that's my experience from the one drop camp that we did back in 2005. That's about all I have to offer. Deer are spread out pretty thin as you already know. We were 15 miles in and I ended up with a buck and my brother did not. There were lots of other camps and hunters in the same area we were hunting.
