This is happening all over, especially west side. They get so much grant money to do stuff for salmon.

Post by: snowpack on December 08, 2013, 05:43:19 PM: Yeah, nature conservancy I think is just a fancy name for a real estate group. They've been buying up a lot of land on the OP near the park. Have heard they inflate the price then sell to the government to add to the national park. In the meantime, the state gives them all kinds of money to plant trees and put logs/rootwads in the water and other landscaping projects to 'help salmon'. (Or build equity before selling to the gov.)
