Next time you're at the log in screen and it asks you how long you want to stay logged in, click on "forever".

Ever since the NSA news came out I've been getting updates like crazy. In the spance of a two months my computer has be come so dogie slow.
I wiped out a couple programs I hardly ever use. Apple stuff and Firefox. Before I did that I had tons of High memory usage. Now that I wiped those out I get tons of High disk usage. My computer is working it's little hinny off. It is always
svchost that boggs down my machiene. :dunno:
It was just a few websites that bogged down before. Hunt-Wa was one of them after an update. :dunno:
-
svchost.exe is a generic host process name for services that run from dynamic-link libraries.
Each service your PC is running may have a svchost running. They are designed to release the memory when not in use.
-
It's likely it had nothing to do with the NSA.

I had a program that cleaned everything off my computer every time I ran it. I had to log in again every time I ran it. It updated, then tried to run every time I turned on the computer, so I deleted the program. :twocents:
Disclaimer: I'm the most computer unsavvy person in the world!

I'm still having problems if I'm not on it for awhile . I still have to log in. The little v simble in the top corner works l. If I'm not of to long. If of for 5-6 hours I have to login again.

From my office here at the NSA, I did notice that you were having to do that. I'll tweak some things around
