Title: Two days in Kapowsin
Post by: Pygmy on December 10, 2013, 08:07:53 PM: No fur, just lots of tracks. Using Foxpro caller, cottontail distress. 6 setups. Fresh snow, very cool. Will have to try again.

Any idea why that is? The foxpro uses actual animal/bird recordings so you'd think it wouldn't get any better than that - unless there is some 'electronic' quality to the recordings that impacts its effectiveness.

What mouth call do you find works the best for you?

I can't figure out why, unless it's just coincidence. I have had good luck with my RR Calls Howlers and an RR Raspy and also to a Primos Double Whammy. The Double Whammy does a good job of sounding like a pack of coyotes.

I'm new to predator hunting, and I'm not having any luck on this side of the mountains.
