Hi All,
My Mom drew a cow permit for the 6010 area out of Raymond for 12/16 - 12/31. I went down last weekend and found a couple herds, one right off the highway and another up on a side road on the right side of highway 6. I'm going to try and get down there again this weekend to see what else I can learn. My Mom and Dad are headed down 12/19 to start hunting on 12/20. Any advice or info from anyone is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Ben

What area is the 6010 exactly. May know where some elk are down there. If you seen the herd by the weigh station that's closed for rifle and private property also

"Elk Area 6010 Mallis (Pacific Co):
That part of GMUs 506, 672, and 673 within one and one-half mile either side of SR 6 between the east end of Elk Prairie Rd and the Mallis Landing Rd, and all lands within a half mile of Elk Creek Rd bounded on the south by Monohon Landing Rd."
Most of the area is private property, but reading one of the old posts about this hunt it sounds like people had reasonable luck getting permission from the farmers if the elk were in their fields.

The herd that is right by the weight scale outside of Raymond is all private proprty. Its hard to get permission from some of the land owners around there. I can talk to one of my buddy's that lives on the elk pairie and see if he could help you out. I know most all the land owners out there. I will be back up in that area from 12/25-12/29. Pm me and I will keep in touch with you.

I'll do that, thanks Brandon.
