Hey guys... I'm sure this has been covered before, but I need some help narrowing down a few bows to look at for my son. He is 9 years old, and wants something he can legally hunt with in the future.
Would you know any archery shops in the Spokane area that may carry something like that, or would I be better off to look online? Thanks.

Not sure if they would have any or not, but I always went to Spokane valley archery when I lived over there... they were very knowledgeable.

many of the same suggestions here ( http://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,142166.0.html (http://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,142166.0.html) ) will apply to your situation. you can bypass the Genesis bow idea i floated and move to the Menace and Infinite Edge.
If it were me, i'd head north to Whitetail Plus in Deer Park or Camo'd Arrow in Chewelah.
-
whitetail plus is just a short drive up here in deer park.
they can get you set up n are always very helpful.

You should start a new topic with your questions. This is a topic about purchasing a youth bow. Not to sound rude, but it just seems as if we get way off topic these days. :twocents:
As for the youth bow, as you will read in the linked topic above, I would highly recommend the Diamond Infinite Edge. That bow will adapt for a 9 year old and be just fine for a 40 year old when adjusted properly.
-
I agree with the diamond, my son has been using his since he was 9 and it has been a great bow.

Thanks for the replies fellas  I made a hasty decision and ordered him a bow today off ebay before I read any replies. I got a "bear apprentice 2". Looked like it will work for a few years at least. Adjustable from 20-60# ready to hunt package. I hope I didn't make a mistake, as I see nobody has suggested a Bear. $250 out the door if anyones curious.
I'm going to have to check out that Whitetails Plus. Heard a lot of good things about them, and am looking for a new shop for arrows and accessories and such.
-
bear apprentice will serve you well! you did just fine.
-
I got my son the Bear Apprentice a couple years ago. It has been a great bow for him to grow with.
