Title: New Benelli M2
Post by: Jmax on December 19, 2013, 02:40:51 PM
Hey all,

I just for a new benelli M2 and was looking to find out which chokes others use for duck hunting. Also it came with 5 chokes but doesn't say anything about shooting steel with them. Can I use the factory chokes with steel loads?

Thanks

I just purchased a M2 for my son.  They are marked for steel, so go with the Mod or IM.  I replaced my sons choke with a Kicks High Flyer modified choke.  Same one our crew uses in there guns.

Just use your Modified factory choke. You shoot wonderfully.

 :yeah:

I've got about five hunts under my M2 and it does very well with the modified choke in. The other chokes were all marked lead only.

They just mark them "Lead Only" so that they can avoid lawsuits where people f'ed up their faces when the steel couldn't squeeze threw the super ful turkey chokes.   :chuckle:

Yeah, I'm sure there's some truth to that. I've had one gun come apart in my face and won't tempt a second, especially with how well a plain old modified works.
