I'm a very avid salmon, steelhead and trout fisherman. My problem is I need advice on how to white fish and where at? I have a jet sled. I was thing the yakima, naches tieton or even Columbia by priest. What is the basic setup and what kind of water to target. I've heard they are very soft biters.

It's been a while....
white maggot, small hook. Toss the bait in the creek where it hits the main body of river and let the creek carry it out.
A lightweight flouro with lot's of slack.

I've caught a 20" whitefish on the tieton. Using salmon drift technique..a slinky with just enough to get it to the bottom and a small small hook or those tiny gold treble hook with white maggots. Fun stuff when its in the teens and snowy.

North end of Banks Lake, WDFW reports of a bunch of a-holes netting them. Must be good numbers to do that. Just catch them legally  okay.

I was told the same about the Tieton years ago.Have never made it up there.Naches is another good prospect. There will be some big hogs to be caught here soon.Like was said 20 in. and up are out there. Not that great for smoking though, just take to long to cook.
