Who buys coyote pelts? I seem to have a good supply of coyotes on land I hunt - but usually just leave 'em after I shoot them because I don't know how to get rid of any pelts I get. Seems I heard a rumor of some woman up near Pateros who buys 'em whole - story was she'd rather skin them herself than have someone else muck 'em up. Darned if I know...
Looking for someone in central WA, within an easy drive of Wenatchee...
Thanks, Guy

George lives in Pateros and is the major fur buyer in this area. I have his phone # at work. I'll pm you with it on Wednesday. Sorry right now I can't remember his last name. If I forget PM me. He will accept tubed coyotes with the skull and tailbone still in. Don't know about whole coyotes.

Man I need to find someone close so I can make back some money I have spent on all the stuff for hunting them. :chuckle:

I know he goes to Yakima to pick up hides, probably other places too. Give him a call. He picked up our skins from last year this spring on his way thru to Yakima.

Don't plan on making much, from what I've heard the prices are way down this year.

George buys skins in all forms(whole, raw skinned, and stretched and dried).
The fur market is anybodys guess at this point. Our economic problems have been felt worldwide but the #1 factor in the fur market is the severity of winter over seas. If it is cold, they buy fur, if not, you might as well let the coyotes eat Gregoires dogs.

Thanks, I'll see if I can make smaller holes in 'em this winter instead of bigger holes... ;)
