Yesterday I took my boy to the English pit to try out his new Littehorn. :IBCOOL:
I knew it would be busy after Christmas, but didn't think it would be that busy! Since it's already a half-hour drive, plus the range fees, I've decided to load up a folding table and chairs and find a good spot in the woods. My best plan right now is to go up to the south edge of Coweeman off the Kalama river road… unless somebody has a better idea. I know my buddy has gone up to Larch Mountain to shoot.
Anybody know an ok shooting spot near Vancouver? We won't leave garbage. Promise.

Pick up a membership up at Wolverton Mt. gun club. You will then get a key and can go up when you want. All of our old gravel pits we used to shoot at have closed down due to, to much garbage left behind.

Clark Rifles is open to the public Sundays from 9-5. Admission is $15 each and the facility is excellent. http://clarkrifles.com/ (http://clarkrifles.com/)

I usually go up Little Kalama River Rd. Lots of State Lands (Discover Pass Req'd) and some Weyerhauser. 15 miles from home and no fees, except the Discover pass :dunno:

Haven't been in several years great place to shoot. Plan on taking advantage of the 300 yard range this spring
