I have a coworker who is a novice gun person that inherited a handgun from her father in CA. she wants to have it shipped up here. would like to recommend an FFL dealer who is reputable, reasonably priced and easy for a novice gun person to work with. Any suggestions?

just a heads up but handguns need an FFL at both ends of the shipment. Rifles and shotguns only need it on the receiving end.
Just meant as an informational post.

Rob....here in Lynnwood I really like the crew at Adventure Sports. Very easy to work with.

If you go on to Gun Broker sight they have "Find A FFL" that you click on to your state and it has all of the FFL people with in your state, The price ranges from $25 up to $75. I use Norpoint Shooting Range in Arlington. I also use Puget Sound Lock & Gun Shop in Marysville.

Another thing to keep in mind- she will have to pay sales tax for the value of the gun, even though she didn't buy it.

Gotcha, thanks guys!

I don't get that.
Cars, real estate and hundreds of thousands of dollars can be inherited without tax in Washington
