Not a bad looking Blacktail, but I think he needs a year or two more. He's been hanging around my camera for about a month now.
-
Nice pic
-
Probably around 100" gross.
-
That trail looks like a highway!
+1 Probably around 100" gross.
around the 95" mark. I would like to see another pic though.
-
100"
-
if he's got the width probably 112"-115" and if i were you id shoot him hes prime, you better get him before anyone else see's him!
Remember you dont pass up a nice 3pt blacktail in this state
-
He'll go around 105-108" I'd guess from that pic. Do you have more pics of him? I agree that he'll likey get more mass and tine development over the next two years but coming from someone who get's humbled every year by mature bucks, I'd put an arrow through his ribs without hesitation!
-
I'd have to agree that he's prime and probably won't get any bigger, look at his face, how it's filled out and looks shortened. He's not an oldie yeat, no sagging belly but he's definitely prime.
-
Might push 100....
-
around 100
-
Looks like a good blacktail. I think I would take him I had the chance
-
105ish. I would like to see a different angle on him. I wouldn't pass that is a nice deer :twocents:
-
Beautiful deer
-
Here's another nice buck, unfortunately he broke off a good piece of one antler. Maybe next year he keep it attached.
-
i would like to see the buck who broke it off ;)
-
He'll gross right at 100. I have a buck that has much bigger forks than him that grosses 109, eith alot more mass too. :twocents: Good buck .
-
Check his neck!! Looks like he broke it off then either got it muddy or re-darkened the break with rubbing. That trail is hot!
-
Who cares he's a toad. I'd drop him without thinking twice. The theory on giving a buck one more year is great, but my experience is if it is a public blacktail area, someone else will harvest him very soon if you don't. It it's private and not hunted much you might be able to wait a year.
-
Man that guy is right behind my house...
-
Take buck number one this year. Let buck number two recover and get him next year.
Looks like you've got some nice mature deer scoped out, good work.
-
Yeah if only we could get them to stop eating the apples...
