Just did some research and on this gmo salmon. They can spawn in a year and also spawn all year round. Grow faster and bigger. Will Wdfw let them put GEF in Wa waters? Wont it ruin the rivers environment? Also will there be a season on them? I dont think I could eat them. What does everyone think?

I doubt WDFW will let them in the rivers. Just look at what they've done to the rivers in recent years by eliminating lots of steelhead plants and salmon plants from hatchery fish. I don't think it would ruin the river's environment, maybe change parts of it. It might be detrimental to a few of the native fish, but at the same time having fish carcasses and eggs and fry in the river year round might make positive changes for some things. Trout would eat more eggs, little fish could eat more dead salmon and bigger fish might have more little fish to eat. Longer window for river nutrients and scavengers to eat, too. But I doubt any need to worry about a season, because I just can't see WDFW ever releasing them....the wild fish groups would sue and tie them up in court for decades.
