Replaced my old 30lb power pro with 17lb nanofil, it feels super smooth and casts a lot further than the power pro. However after a couple of fishing trips and landing several steelhead the line feels rough and seems quite twisted! Anyone else using nanofil? Had any problems with it?

My father picked some up at the start of the season this last year, and I cast it a few times on our first trip out and all I could say was "WOW". Its is so smooth and you are right it does cast further! The next day I went out and picked up some for both my son's rod and mine. I love the stuff and so does my son. All Three of us used it all season(17 lb line also).
The line twist has not affected us at all.
I kept an eye on the last 5 feet or so of the line for that chaffing that happens, and it never did get much worse, nor did it break. We only lost leaders this year, that's all. My plan was to cut the last 5-10 feat off the line at the start of next season just to be safe.
