Title: synthetic stock repair question
Post by: deerhunter_98520 on January 04, 2014, 09:48:04 AM
I have a weatherby mark v ultralight and on the forearm the stock split on both sides of the sling swivel stud....would you guys send it in for repair? I was thinking about putting some epoxy in there...not sure what else they would do besides replacing the stock....any other suggestions?

Also I have a Harris bipod on it...I'm thinking that could have caused the crack....any of you have an ultralight with bipod and had this problem? I might just goto shooting sticks instead

I would first contact weatherby about it first. I have seen that before from bipods. Normally when I run a bipod on my rifles I installed a second swivel stud a little closer to the action for better support.only about 3" closer.  If weatherby won't replace it id try the epoxy.

I emailed them and never got a response but plan on calling them but was looking at backup options so I don't have to spend 3-400 on a replacement
