Have you seen this bull? I've seen a crappy picture of it and it sure doesn't look like 400 to me but it could be the crummy picture I got. It's a great bull but I was thinking 350 maybe. Admittedly I'm not an expert scorer but I can usually tell 350 from 400. It's an outstanding bull either way and I don't want my comment to be taken wrong. I just was wondering if it really was 400".
-
Elkburger. That is a monster bull. I hope he is still alive for next year.
-
Got away last year hopefully not this coming year
-
Some great bulls guys
-
I'd say this bull qualifies....If he still lives.
Is that a short 7th point on his right side?? Looks kind of familiar :dunno:
-
Some great bull coming up on here

She shot the bull in some dog hair and it ran down the hill to the creek bottom where she finished it off. Huge body bull though

Who's adam?
-
Geeze, I thought this was a thread about the bull that the westside voters do to the eastside ......... :chuckle:
Nice animals too !!
-
Who's adam?
I'm guessing someone figures it was from MT. Adams area.
-
Wow! You must know her bluesdude. Cause that pic was requested a long time ago and no one would post it cause we didn't have her permission to do so. Hope her ol man is ok with you giving out all the details of their hunt.....
-

Yeah that makes sense.
-
i wish natures way would post megans bull that she killed with a muzzle loader, it is huge, if i remember right which i probably dont, i think it scored around 375, i know no picsw so it didnt happen :bash: :chuckle:
-
Hey Bluesdude. Why dont you share her story with that bull. Doubt you wanna do that though. Im not a fan of posting other peoples pictures, especially without a good, juicy story. :stirthepot:
-
I'd say this bull qualifies....If he still lives.

The westside has Rockies as well.
-
 Stud Bull!! Thanks for posting!

Rosies are technically WEST of I-5. Most of the west side is Rocky Mt elk. Unless you count Cascade rosies...I'm not sure B&C does :dunno:
-
I believe bc calls everything west of the pct a cascade rosie, thats a stud masher super toad of a bull regardless of which side or state it was shot in...bulls like that keep me going year round
-

B&C has no class for a Cascade Roosevelt. It's either a Rocky or a Roosevelt.
That Mt. Adams bull is a Rocky per B&C.
Roosevelt’s elk are acceptable from Del Norte, Humboldt and Trinity Counties, California, as well as that portion of Siskiyou County west of I-5 in northern California; from west of Highway I-5 in Oregon and Washington; from Vancouver Island, B.C.; and from Afognak and Raspberry Islands of Alaska. The Alaskan animals are the result of a successful transplant from the Olympic Peninsula of Washington. To date no trophies from Alaska have been entered that reach the current all-time records book minimum score of 290. Most of the entered trophies to date have come from coastal Oregon and Washington, with a smaller number from Vancouver Island.
http://www.boone-crockett.org/bgRecords/records_boundaries.asp?area=bgRecords (http://www.boone-crockett.org/bgRecords/records_boundaries.asp?area=bgRecords)
NW Big Game Records does have a classification for Cascade Roosevelt Elk, same with Cascade Blacktails.

There is a website that lists trophy categories and they do seem to differentiate between cascade and other westside animals. They do this with elk and deer.

:yeah:I believe the 'Washington state big game record book' has many categories, including benchlegs...cascade bucks.
-
Hmmm interesting..seems harsh to compare a Winston bull to a daton bull but I guess that's how it goes..
I wish there was a category for DIY, public land,OTC elk...an maybe move the I5 boundary east based on genetics
-
My buddy got a nice 6 point in the Yale unit years ago. Typical rosie, however we were 10 miles east of I-5 and his bull was scored as a Rocky Mt. Had we been West of I-5 it would have made B&C. Location, location, location
-
The definition does seem silly but I guess they have to draw the line somewhere.
-
I figured the pic would surface at some point. I had the pic the day it got shot but I would not post due to no permission. Hope someone does not get to upset over this.
Great animal though
-
that ladys bull is definatly a pig, but is it really 400+? or is the picture not doing it justice, i aint bashing the bull so dont go gettn your undies in a bunch, just curious. would love to see some better pics for sure
-
Pics are always decieving for me, With just this pic I might tend to agree it looks like a stud but possibly shy of 400. Having seen the side and and ATL photos of this bulls and the tine length and beam length :yike:  I could see this bull hitting the 400 mark  Monster bull for sure.
-
Masher bull. I just hope she wanted her info shared with everyone.
-
What info :dunno:
-
Her full name. What unit she killed it in. :dunno:
-
Imo it was not a cool move to post that stuff unless she said go ahead. I know I wouldn't of done it. Like others I've had the pic for quite awhile.
-
Her full name. What unit she killed it in. :dunno:
My bad I hadnt even noticed that info.
-
just an FYI if i ever kill a pig blacky or a bull of that caliber and any of you clowns end up with a pic you have my full permission to post it on up  i dont know this lady but honestly why would anyone care if their pic got posted of a masher bull they killed :dunno:  still waiting on natures way to post up megans bull, only if he has permission of course  its a friggin pig
-
Maybe she and her husband don't want a bunch of Internet trolls putting in for that permit now that had no idea of the quality it held prior to that picture being posted. I'll bet that you see the number of applicants for that hunt go up next year. And the number of general season report chasers in the unit will be up as well.
-
Perhaps. But this is all under the assumption the OP of the pic did not have permission. And while I agree that pics shouldn't be shared without permission, I am also a realist when it comes to todays data sharing devices, and would be willing to bet pics were flying around behind the scenes last time the conversation of this bull came up.

I just deleted the post with that info and her picture in it. If there was no permission to post the picture, then I agree, it shouldn't be here. Especially her full name.
:sry:

Don't have any other info, just found it in my inbox emailed to me from my brother from one of his hunting buddies, etc

Based on Bluesdude's post, I'm going to assume he didn't have the OK to post from anyone.
:dunno:
-
Does anyone on here know her? If so would that person know if when taking car of the animal if she found either arrow or broadhead in this animal? This would have been from a full year prior so probably grissled over if this was the same animal. Just curious. Probably an extreme long shot......but those big sweeping eye guards aren't on that many Adams bulls.......especially with the rest of the antler behind them.
Thanks for any info
Mike
-
Here he is,out whole,head shot,no wasted meat,delicious!
-
Well that's where l was curious about. Right behind the front left shoulder and he looks clean as a whistle in the rib area. That's a neat pic. Looks like a half a beef at the butcher. He looks like Excellent eating! Congrats to the hunter on a bull of a lifetime!
Mike
-
Not as big as the Adams bull but a doozy
Figured we could use some more Eye candy
-
 nice bull!

Nicely done. The haters can't say that one is gamey. Premo!
-
Nice bull. It always amazes me seeing whole animals in the back of rigs. I've never had the luxury that I could get a truck close enough to a downed animal, nor have the energy to lift one up there. Nice work!
