Hey everyone new to the burbot world! Can anyone give me any tips or techniques on how you fish them would greatly appreciated! Thanks everyone and good luck fishing!

I'd book a day trip with the guide service that is a site member. They do well and I bet you could learn all you need in a day!

I was thinking more on the lines of plunking.... or some other tactic.... for a fisherman that is too "burned out" for any more interactive approach. I've heard of fishermen too drunk to fish...never seen it first-hand though :chuckle:

Funny you should mention plunking. I grew up plunking the Chehalis as a kid, where a 1/2 gal of BV was a staple at every plunking shack. Guys just left the bottle in the shack. I've never personally seen anyone too "burned out to fish", that being because one time I was the one being literally carried out through the field unable to walk, let alone fish...ah, the good 'ol days.

The guide is YJ guide service. Call and talk to Craig, they should be fishing for them right about now through spring. They do well on Roosevelt
